Learning to tap dance helps you incorporate different rhythms and steps into your swing dancing.

Our mentors include Chazz Young, Chester Whitmore, Joseph Wiggan, Sam Weber, Michelle Dorrance and Josh Hilberman, to name but a few.

 

These names might not be as familiar to you as the likes of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, but they are the current 'stars' if you will, of tap dancing today. You may be interested to know that Chester choreographed for, and appeared in, the Oscar winning film, La La Land!

Tap has evolved over the years, from the early days of Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson. There are different styles of tap, rhythm tap and Broadway tap being most well-known. Soft shoe is another style.
